Join the Case Western Reserve University Chapter

Here are step-by-step instructions to follow if you would like to join:

Step 1. In the fall semester, look for announcements of a preliminary chapter meeting open to all interested students. Come to this meeting to find out the application deadline and other information. There may be an opportunity to join early in the spring semester as well; look for announcements.

Step 2. Before the deadline, send an email to Robert Spadoni with this subject line, all in caps:

SIGMA TAU DELTA MEMBER INFORMATION

In the email, list:

— Your Name
— Permanent Address (not your campus address)
— Email Address
— Graduation Year

Include no other text in the body of this email. Send other correspondence to Professor Spadoni separately.

Step 3. Send via intercampus mail or deliver to Robert Spadoni’s mailbox in Guilford 211:

— A printout of the email described in Step 2.

— A copy of your transcript (unofficial okay). On this transcript, circle all English courses you have taken, and on the transcript or a separate sheet calculate your average for these English courses. The steps you perform to calculate the average should be clear and easy to follow.

— A money order or personal check for $45 payable to Case Western Reserve University. Check with Robert Spadoni to make sure that the amount is still $45. Checks only, please, no cash payments will be accepted. IMPORTANT: In the memo field of the check, write “SIGMA TAU DELTA payment for NAME,” where “NAME” is the name of the student seeking membership.

Staple everything but the check together. Paper clip the check to the stapled bundle.

Applications not received by the deadline will not be accepted. If you have any questions about these instructions or the chapter, or if you think you might have difficulty paying the application fee, please contact Robert Spadoni.
