About
Dr. Krittika Grau is the Assistant Vice President for Career Success at the Center for Career Success at Case Western Reserve University. Originally from Kolkata, India, she is a NACE, MBTI, and CliftonStrengths certified career services leader who works at the intersection of administration, student-centered career advising, and teaching to prepare students and alumni for an evolving workforce shaped by AI, globalization, and emerging technologies. In addition to her administrative leadership, she serves as a career advisor supporting students in their exploration and professional development and holds part-time faculty appointments through the Departments of English and Psychology, where she teaches UNIV 200: Career Exploration and Professional Connections and WRIT 285: Pop Culture and Career Narratives.
In her teaching, she engages students in identity exploration, storytelling, and reflective practice as tools for understanding career development and lived experience. She holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration, a Master of Education in Higher Education, a Master of Arts in Journalism, and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Kent State University; her doctoral dissertation was A qualitative study of international students’ experiences with American pop culture. Prior to higher education, she worked as a news anchor, television journalist, voice actor, and producer.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her family, taking piano lessons with her son, reading, playing board games, solving puzzles, singing karaoke, and petting every cat and dog she meets, including her ornery tuxedo cat, Noctis.
Fun Fact: Krittika is fluent in and dreams in three different languages!
